Who we are…
The Stanford Economics Association is the official student organization of the Stanford Economics Department. We provide an outlet for those who enjoy Economics to learn more about research opportunities, graduate programs, undergraduate major tracks and career options. Our purpose is to enhance the learning experience of students who enjoy Economics and to provide networking opportunities among students and with faculty.

What we do...
Each year we:

  • Publish The Stanford Economics Journal (one of the few undergraduate Economics Journals in the U.S.)

  • Host a Lecture Series featuring speakers who have included Stanford faculty, Nobel laureates and other distinguished experts in the field of economics

  • Sponsor a Peer Advising Program for Freshman and Sophomore Economics majors to benefit from the experience and knowledge of our Junior and Seniors

  • Encourage communication among Stanford undergraduate economics students as well as between students at faculty through social events such as our quarterly Faculty Lunch

  • Sponsor career-related and postgraduate study informational events such as PhD Night and Career Night
